★★★★✩ I liked this one, the second in the Psy-Changeling series; but not as much as the first. Don’t get me wrong; four stars are impressive. And I LOVE this author’s “voice”. I’m almost tempted to bump it up to 4½ stars. However, I had to put it down for a couple days. The “darkness” – or The Über Creep – that was plaguing Faith was a little too dark for me right now. Maybe I’ll listen to this on audio in about a year and I’ll love it. There were a couple other things that bugged me: Was she too valuable for the Psy Council to kill? Yes, then no, then yes, then no… Urgh! Plus, the villain was a fizzle, don’t you think? Unless remaining nameless is a set-up for something that comes later in the series, maybe?. But none of these “things-bugging-me” were the chemistry and relationship between Vaughn and Faith; they made for a hot couple!
